What better way to put a face on your profile than with … your face? Adding a photo to your profile is an excellent idea and you will always get a much better response. Below are a few rules about posting photos.
Your Photos May Be:
- Portrait Photos - A good clear photograph of yourself will help draw attention to you. The photograph should be a head and shoulders or head and upper body photo showing your full face with you feeling relaxed and attractive. This does NOT include magazine photos or other photos that may be copyrighted by the photographer.
- Driver's License or VISA/Passport Photos - As long as no information such as your name or address is shown, feel free to use these photos.
- Candid Photos - If you prefer to upload a candid, every day photo of yourself (fully clothed) please don't hesitate. Even if you're just looking for a friend, your responses usually increase with a photo. It's up to you!
Your Photos May NOT Be:
- Absolutely NO children, animals, or other people in the photo.
- Erotic Photos - Because this is not an "adult" website, you're not allowed to submit nude or other sexually explicit photographs of yourself.
- Old photos - Please be sure that your photos are current. We stress that our members be honest, including providing an up to date photo. Baby pictures and other photos that are obviously out of date will be deleted.
- Photoshop Altered Photos - While Photoshop type programs give you a lot of fun tools to use, please keep it to a minimum. Light decoration is fine, but your real email address and other personal information are not allowed. Some writing may be added to the photo, but approval is subject to our strict discretion.
- No anime or cartoons of any kind - Whether it's moving or still, cartoons and anime are not photos of you! It's that simple.
- No weapons (i.e. guns, knives, swords, etc.) - We do not advocate violence and strive to provide a safe place for singles to connect with other singles. If you're a gun enthusiast, please be advised that gun photos will be deleted, no questions asked.
- You're allowed to upload a maximum of 3 photos, just on separate upload box.The total size of photos must be less than 1 MB. Please don't try to cram more than one photo on a box. It may cause problems with your profile listing.
- No collages - Yes, it's difficult to decide just which photo to use, but please post 3 maximum, on the site. Thanks!
- Finally, no inappropriate hand gestures. It's just rude.
